We’re Hiring – Screen Print Supervisor

An opportunity has arisen to join our Garment Department team on a full time basis working 7:30am – 4:30pm (Mon-Fri) as a supervisor for a print pod in the Screen Print team.

The role of the screen print supervisor is to act as an intermediary between the production manager and head supervisor with the print production teams.

 

The job duties include but not limited to:

  • To offer support and training to print team members.
  • To organise team members to make sure the scheduled work is completed within the required time frame.
  • To assist the production manager and head supervisor in ensuring the team is running effectively each day.
  • To be a leader in cleaning and maintenance. Being proactive in delegating tasks and supervising the team to maintain a high standard of organisation and cleanliness.
  • To delegate and ensure all cleaning + maintenance tasks are completed as agreed on the schedules, and offering input on how these can be developed and improved upon.
  • To make sure all deadline orders from each production line are hitting dispatch within a timely manner and that production schedules are completed each day.
  • Identify any machine issues and report to the production manager.
  • Offer training and on press support to all printers
  • Ensure all garments, screens, inks + other consumables are at the machines for printers to allow them to be as efficient as possible.
  • To make sure all orders are being completed within the time frames required,and that all staff are focusing on the tasks they are assigned to.
  • Troubleshooting any issues that hold up production, to allow printers to continue printing.
  • To work with the production manager on quality control, and ensure all production lines are having regular quality checks throughout the shift.
  • Cover off the production manager on daily team meetings, and assist in the hosting of weekly team meetings.
  • To attend operations meetings in the absence of the production manager.
  • To work alongside the planning manager to make sure lists are completed and feeding back issues which have prevented this.
  • Work with the production manager to ensure Health and Safety tasks are carried out within the required time frame.

 

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

 

We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of a production environment, preferably within a garment printing capacity who has a history of good leadership skills:

  • A good understanding of working with a production environment
  • Proven history of dealing with tight deadlines and a busy schedule
  • Experience of delegating tasks + motivating those around you.
  • A good knowledge of Screen Print or other garment decoration
  • Preferable experience of using Roq + M&R machinery

  • The ability to lead and work as part of a team, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Willingness to learn and continuously improve.
