Picture blog: Celebrating ten years of Awesome Merch

Tagged with:

We’re ten years old! Can you believe it? A whole decade of awesomeness that started out in our Luke’s bedroom – which is now in a custom factory which employs close on fifty staff. Mental! Before we take you down memory lane, click this to win £800 worth of merch!

Above: Let’s start somewhere near the start with our first ever Awesome Badges unit… apparently we couldn’t use bins… this is 2008!

We were always dead keen on promoting the business wherever we were… we’d just roll out a banner and dance the night away.

Above left you can see our first ever prototype badge business card – and on the right you can see that five years ago, we were five years old!

Our old offices at Barkston House were great – mainly because of Drew Millward’s wall mural.

We still believe in this motto – unfortunately we couldn’t bring the wall with us.

All good things come to and end… it was time to move from Barkston House to a new and improved factory a couple of miles away.

Although, we posed for some photos first….

Our new unit! It was freakin’ huge but we’d planned to utilise every inch of space so no room for skateboarding…

The offices are up, we’ve moved in and it’s time for pizza. Always time for pizza.

Things got busier and our Luke was interviewed on the BBC News about AM and all things biz.

At the start of 2014, we got a new boss called Dolly. She came in and has ruled ever since with the focus being on cuteness and appearing in the odd film adaptation.

114

Fancy dress and having fun is a key part of the AM philosophy. Here’s a contest pic where we dressed up as the characters from Recess.

115

Last year, we were super proud to join the Living Wage foundation and pay our staff the Living Wage. They deserve it, they rule.

static1.squarespace-2It’s always good to go out for a few beers, especially when there’s German beer markets about…

116

Another month and another new unit… this one was for the boss to play in…

117

Staff World Cup football stickers – did you collect them all?

118

This is either an online Photoshop challenge or a scene from outside HQ last year… you decide.

Even more machinery going in… we’re going to have to build upwards!

119

Earlier this year, we launched a brand new website…

120

Oh, and we also got a whole sparkly new rebrand and gave HQ a makeover…

121

We’re proud to get out and about and sponsor great events. Earlier this year we went along to Primavera Sound and had a great time at Flatstock.

Our latest staff picture…. 2015 style.

KEEP IT AWESOME!
