Serving up tasty merch with North Brewing Co.

Tagged with:

We wouldn’t be where we are today without our amazing customers and collaborators, so we wanted to take some time to tell the stories of some of the awesome people we’ve worked closely with over the years.

First Christian Townsley of North Bar & North Brewing Co. to discuss how they use merch and how we’ve worked together over the years.

Opening in 1997 and have spent the last 20 years getting Leeds excited by Belgian, American, German and all sorts of Great British beers. They set up North Brewing Co. about 2 and a half years ago and are now producing top class craft beer, exporting across Europe and have recently shipped to China.

Christian explains that for them, it’s important to have a strong merchandise offering, which lives up to the beer they are producing.

“Having a merchandise offering is really important. It makes people feel like part of the brewery, it makes them feel connected to the brand. We feel that the beers that we’re offering are absolutely fantastic, so we need to offer a merchandise range that matches that.”

Helping to produce branded clothing, stickers, badges, and even branding for their fermenting vessels, North Brewing Co. use their merch to promote their brand, as well as using it as a revenue stream.

“We use our merchandise in various ways, as a sales tool, staff apparel, as freebies that we give away at events, we give it out with packages we send out. We use our merchandise in a variety of ways.”

North Brewing Co., Stickers

But even with such an extensive merch range, it’s the good old classic sticker that claims their top spot.

“We sticker hard and fast and I think our customers love stickers too. We see them on laptops, on bikes, on phones. Yeah, stickers are great!”
