As Pride month comes to an end, we have been blown away by the amount of support, creativity and inspiration that has been generated from our #AwesomePride features. Here at Awesome Merchandise, we are an inclusive company, who values each and every one of our customers, no matter their background. We are so proud to be a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ Community and to produce some amazing work for creatives within the community.
For Pride 2021, we curated our Awesome Pride Packs which were a collaboration between three extremely talented artists from within the community. We created a fully customizable Pride Flag which was designed by Ane Arzelus, which could be completed with the fabric pens which were included in the pack. A sticker pack designed by Karl Bradshaw was also included within the pack along with some Temporary Tattoos designed by Violeta Noy. We want to say a massive thank you to each of these artists who got involved and to everyone who purchased a pack too.
We sold out of our super limited Pride Packs in just over 24 hours, and we shipped them out all over the UK. We raised £250 which we have donated to MindOut – a mental health charity ran by and specifically for people from the LGBTQIA+ community. They work to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the community and want to make mental health a community concern. In order to do this MindOut offers hope through positive relationships and professional expertise, they provide safe spaces for people to meet and support each other and through helping people protect their rights they are enabling them to get their voices heard.
MindOut is open for all people, regardless of whether they associate themselves with the LGBTQIA+ community or not. Their vision is a world where mental health of LGBTQIA+ communities is a priority, free from stigma, respected and recognised, and we couldn’t think of a better charity to support this Pride Month.
