*WARNING* – this isn’t for everyone and Joan Cornellà’s artwork is definitely NSFW.
Leeds Gallery is playing host to an excellent exhibition of Joan Cornellà’s art. If you don’t know, Joan is a Spanish cartoonist and illustrator, famous for his unsettling, surreal, black humorous comic art.
The Leeds Gallery at Munro House is the first place in the U.K to exhibit his artwork.
We went along on a wet Thursday night in November to check it out and splash some colour into the evening….
There’s loads of his famous pieces from throughout the years, hanging up just waiting for you to check out. It doesn’t matter if you’re a fan or new to his work, you’ll still read through every strip.
It’s all about the little details…
Take home a permanent reminder of Joan’s work by buying his latest book ‘Zonzo’ or buy it from his shop right here. There’s also a plethora of prints to pick up too!
We’re very lucky that Leeds has such great events like Thoughtbubble and such great and enthusiastic art fans / community that organise exhibitions like this.
One of our particular favourites – can you work out why we’re pointing at that guy?
The exhibition is running at Munro House until Dec 12th and we encourage you to go and check it out and support great events like this in Leeds! More info here and check out more Joan Cornellà here.
